RICK ORTIZ JOINS APPLE USER GROUP ADVISORY BOARD
Rick Ortiz of the Maui Apple User Society (MAUS) has joined the Apple
User Group Advisory Board . Rick has served as President of MAUS since
2000. During his tenure, Rick rebuilt the group from 30 members to over
190. His group operates the iKids program which rebuilds donated Macs and
places them with low-income youth. Professionally, Rick works in the no-
profit sector and also owns a Multimedia/Mac consulting business.

MORE DAVE MARRA MUG APPEARANCES ANNOUNCED
Apple Senior Systems Engineer Dave Marra has announced more appearances
on his ongoing tour of Macintosh User Groups in the Northeast. You can
catch Dave and his legendary dynamic presentations at the following MUGs
in the near future:
- April 22 - Connecticut PC Users Group
- April 23 - South Jersey Apple Users Group
- April 26 - Philadelphia Area Computer Society (Special Final Cut

USER GROUP UNIVERSITY LIBRARY GOES ONLINE
The User Group University Library is now online and available. With
material from six different UGU's in San Francisco and New York, the
Library boasts over 70 video, audio, slide and resource documents from
sessions in these categories:
- Opening Sessions & Keynotes
- User Group Operations
- User Group Interaction
- Marketing & Publicity
- Vendor & Retailer Relationships
- Working With People
- MUG Communications
- Youth & Campus Group Sessions
- Events & Community Activities
- Leadership Tools, Resources & Training

Whether you were able to attend all or none, you'll find the Library a
great place to review some of the sessions and get information and ideas

MEETING TOPICS FROM APPLE VOLUNTEER TEAMS CHAT
MUG chats are fountains of information . Last month at the Apple
Volunteer Teams chat, members of the User Group Advisory Board and the
Campus Group Advisory Board led a discussion that generated 30 different
meeting topics , enough to keep any group running for a long time. Some
