Hi Paul,

What I can suggest is for your group, I mean, try to see if "the london group" can make an order instead of individual order. This way you will be able to "share" between many the cost of shipping and handling etc......

Maybe with a POBox, with a physical address or so......

We were thinking at those ideas because for us is the same issue.

Hi all

I published the O'Reilly 20% book discount in last month' group magazine here in the UK, it was a worldwide offer. One of my members has complained that when he went to place an order for $32 worth of books the total came to over $60 with shipping. Import duties & taxes not included.

Order value $31.92
Tax $0.00
DHL Int'l $28.63
Total $60.55

I had a look at their site and it seems DHL international is the only option. This kind of negates the 20% discount, as these items can be purchased at Amazon.co.uk for much less than $60. So my question is what other options are there for non US based groups?

Obviously downloadable offers are good the world over but physical shipment items need to be looked at. Should I just not bother passing on these types of offer?

Cheers

Paul
