Before you continue to spew your nonsense any further.
The DEVELOPERS decide what platform a game is released to. Not the
Platform itself.
I am the Gaming Editor for The One Ring Inc, I deal every day with
Electronic Arts and Vivendi Universal in the interests of their Lord of
the Rings franchise. When a game comes to a platform it is not the
platform that decides it, it's the other platform that decided not to
bid to keep it off of the first. PS2 vs. XBox is a big constant
conflict, yet when Universal is concentrating their efforts for
Middle-earth Online they state that due to the ease of porting a game
to OS X you should expect to see this MMORPG on OS X at the SAME time
it'll be out for the PC.
Don't blame Apple, blame the Developers.

Unfortunately this is becoming heated
Windows does the messenger thing:
1. it's good
2. Mac OS doesn't have it, please accept it
3. the "deamons" or "tasks" in Windows take up a fraction of the
processor time compared to the full app
You cannot justify Apple's ignoring the Mac games market because of
the
consoles because some games are best played on computers (strategy)
and
this is a very silly excuse for simply supporting Apple's actions. We
are all Mac users, passionate about our computers but I'm afraid we
must accept the shortcomings of our systems and this is what exactly
this debate is about.
I think I am justified in making the above statements. Others should
also respond to this thread

These messengers do not provide ANY facility with which they can

I don't want to get further into this because i know how Windows does
this and it's completely off topic. If you want
Plus, launching the full application on login slows down the login
process.
You don't think that the launching of these "daemons" or "tasks" in
Windows takes the login process time?
And if Apple are not concentrating on the gaming aspect of Macs,
well....., its just *bad*. You can't expect to sell to consumers
(many of whom are under 18) who want to play games. Actually, games
have become super-popular on computers and have led to the
development of the game consoles.
And the development and subsequent ascendancy of the games consoles
is
the primary reason that Apple doesn't give a fig about games.
