CAMPUS GROUP & STUDENT EVENTS ABOUND AT MACWORLD EXPO
Macworld Expo San Francisco 2003 will feature more than a dozen
opportunities for students to attend presentations, workshops, and social
events specifically tailored towards them. Students will find others who
share their passions for using Apple technologies, and they'll discover
how they can create exciting campus user groups centered around the
digital hub. The Apple User Group Advisory Board, the Apple Campus Group
Advisory Board, and other students from around the world have planned
these activities to be informative, memorable, and fun.
"New events at this year's Macworld Expo SF offer a wealth of information
and opportunities for student attendees," said David Roemer, manager of
Campus Group Relations at Apple. "By attending these exciting events
developed by students for students, young attendees will forge new
friendships, share their ideas, win prizes, and discover the numerous
benefits of creating campus groups. Students will find themselves
inspired to return to their schools to share their passions for
technology with their communities."
Students are discovering that by creating campus user groups, they can
gain valuable leadership skills, make new friends, and even obtain
interviews and jobs. These benefits help to explain why the number of
campus groups doubled in 2002, and 2003 will surely be the most exciting
year ever for these groups. The events at Macworld Expo will launch
leaders into the new year.
Rowan Rozanski, chair of the Apple Campus Group Advisory Board, said, "By
creating an atmosphere in which students can come together to share the
ideas and knowledge that they have gained by creating groups, we can help
to grow campus groups around the nation while having a great time as
well. This is definitely a win-win situation.
A complete list of student-related sessions and activities is available
on the Student Events At Expo page.
