Dear Bonnie,

Thank you for writing and letting us all know. As Lorene Romero already said, it's a very sad day for all of us. But now you can be off to your next adventure... It could be said:

"Every ending is just a new beginning"
"Every challenge is just a new opportunity"
"When you fall off a horse, you just have to get back on"

All of which is fine and dandy from an innocent bystander perspective, but when it's happening to you (and I've been there), it's much more difficult and painful.

It's been an honor and a pleasure working w/ you, Bonnie, and you know the entire user group community wishes you well. To that ends, QMUG/LA has taken the liberty of writing you a Letter of Recommendation (unsigned):

While the rest of us go around applying for jobs that get posted, good companies create jobs for good people, and I have no doubt that that is what will happen for you. Companies that come to mind:

Apple -- no offense to Jeff, a great guy, but I get the feeling being UG Program Mgr is a secondary responsibility, and wouldn't having someone like you be great! And Salinas is only an hour away from Cupertino!

Microsoft -- who *is* their user group contact, and wouldn't that be great to help its Mindshare program be more Mac-friendly so its Mac BU wouldn't have to shoulder sending stuff out.

Symantec -- or any other company that could use some evangelizing to user groups, companies that aren't on our radar, because that's what you do so well, at Macworlds and User Group Universities and all points in between.

QMUG/LA wishes you the best, whatever you decide to do, and we'll be there for you as you have been for us. Enjoy your new independence this 4th of July, and come back w/ all guns blazing before San Francisco!

Sincerely,
Doan Thiel Stafford * http://www.qmug.org * (323) 222-QMUG/7684
