CASADY & GREENE SAYS GOODBYE
We are sad to report that long-time, enthusiastic MUG supporter Casady &
Greene has announced that they will be closing their doors on July 3. C&G
have supported virtually every user group event imaginable during their
span as one of the Mac industries' best known software publishers.
Products like Conflict Catcher and Spell Catcher have placed them in the
rare ranks of companies with "must-have" products. They were the original
developers of the "Party In A Box" kit that provided MUGs with software,
streamers, candy and handouts, to help create a meeting, and their give-
aways at Macworld Expos on both coasts were always the coolest, most
sought-after souvenirs of the show.
True to their nature of putting the customer first, the C&G web site will
soon have links to the authors of their products, so their customers
won't be left without support options.
Our friend and Vice President of Public Relations/User Group Liaison,
Bonnie Mitchell, has released the a note to User Group Leaders. It is
posted on the MUG Center with her permission.
Those of us who have had the good fortune to develop a personal
friendship with Bonnie and the C&G team will miss their support, their
products, and most of all their smiling faces. We wish them all the best
in future endeavors, and hope that we will see them back involved in the
MUG community very soon.

TWO MORE GROUPS JOIN THE USER GROUP BOOTH AT MACWORLD CREATIVEPRO
The Macintosh User Group Booth at Macworld CreativePro Conference & Expo
has gained two more exhibiting groups.
Washington Apple PI , the world's largest physical Macintosh User Group,
will be in the booth on Friday to talk about how they have grown and
propsered over their 25 years, what they offer their members, and why
everyone should join their local user group.
The New Jersey Final Cut Pro Users Group will also be exhibiting on
Friday, and brings to the booth a broader perspecitve, with their focus
on a single Mac-only application and the specialization that comes with
being a digital media group.
The complete Booth schedule , along with the schedule of all MUG events
at Expo, can be found on our Macworld MUG Event Calendar.
