Is there still a free account for MUG ambassadors?
Shouldn't this read "free account for your MUG"? What is the general
consensus out there as to where ownership of this freely provided user
group offering resides?
My personal feeling is that the free .Mac accounts provided thru the
Learn & Earn ASW UG program were meant to be used by the "user groups"
in some capacity and not be held as personal property of the person
serving as Ambassador. Caveat--unless the UG made the decision to
allow such provision due to comprehensible circumstances.
For example: a user group that already purchased a .Mac account prior
to being notified about the freely available .Mac and not being able
to have Apple make an arrangement to switch and refund therefore
leaving a club with two .Mac accounts to find use for, thus enabling
the "use" and "borrowing" for a year's time of the extra account by
the president, ambassador or person
designated.

This is exactly what happened to me. As an ASE, I already had the free
account from the L&E site when Apple offered the same thing to the MUG.
There went my free account. Although I had paid $500 for the ASE
program, I felt I had to use the free account for the MUG.
