Janice,
Have you tried logging in with a different browser?
This isn't necessarily the place to go into all of the pros and cons of
each of the different web browsers, but suffice it to say that I think
that Camino is a close second to Safari. Even so, I have copies of all
of the freeware browsers on my TiBook and use them for different
purposes at different times.
One purpose is to manage separate accounts. I like the password and
information keeper built into browsers, but, of course, that can be a
pain when you have two account with the same organization. My solution
is to keep one account separated with another browser. Example, I use
an online calendar service (not iCal) for my MUG and for my as a
teacher for my students.
When I want to log in and make changes to my MUG calendar, I just do so
with Camino. When I am manipulating my classroom calendar, I use
Safari. It makes things easier for me and doesn't mess with the whole
cookies and password manager issues. I just took my quiz for my MUG
.Mac account and haven't gotten my access code for my free .Mac account
yet, but when I do, this will be how I plan to separate them.
As far as accessing the iDisk and such, you could just set up different
users in OSX. It'd be kind of a pain to log in and log out again for
that, but I understand that Panther (10.3) will even make that process
easier.
Hope that helps,
Joe
