MUG DINNER IN LAS VEGAS SCHEDULED FOR THE COMING WEEK
User Group Advisory Board member Lesa Snider will be in Las Vegas next
week at Imaging USA. By day, she will be representing the National
Association of Photoshop Professionals, but on Tuesday night, she will
host the latest in a series of informal, "dutch treat" MUG dinners.
These dinner events started last year as an opportunity for UGAB members
to meet with user group leaders and members at different locations to
exchange ideas and enjoy each other's company. Past dinners at the
O'Reilly MacOS X Conference, PhotoshopWorld/LA and the MacDesign
Conference were well-attended, provided useful information, and created
new friendships for all attendees.
Join Lesa at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, July 29 at Gordon Biersch at 3987
Paradise Road (phone: 702-312-5247) for an evening of MUG fellowship and
interaction. Email Lesa for more information and so reservations can be made.

APPLE REGIONAL LIAISON APPEARS IN MACADDICT
This month's issue of MacAddict Magazine features an article on China as
a potential emerging market for Apple, and includes commentary by Apple

MACWORLD CREATIVEPRO VOLUNTEER & USER GROUP LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
YEARBOOK PAGES POSTED
It took plenty of teamwork and volunteers to conduct all the Macintosh
User Group events at last week's Macworld CreativePro Conference & Expo,
and we want to give special recognition to all the volunteeers who made
it possible. Take a moment to review the names, photos and user group
associations of the people who donate their time at Expo to help advance
the cause of Macintosh User Groups.
You also should take a second to look over the list of MUG leaders who
attended the User Group Leadership Conference, on the UGLC Yearbook page.
These are community members who understand the benefits of looking beyond
their own groups for ideas on how to grow and improve. Thanks to all of
them for coming, and for all their efforts throughout the year.
