Specifically, ISP customers, not others such as a cell phone customer.
From their FAQ <
https://www.verizon.net/wifi/faqs/#faq8>:
"Is Verizon Wi-Fi available to Verizon Telephone or Wireless customers?
Verizon Wi-Fi is currently only available to Verizon Online DSL and dial-up
Internet customers. Verizon Online customers use Verizon as their Internet
Service Provider for their home or for their business."
I don't see why they limit it. I use Verizon for the great cell coverage but
have to give up all the cool Bluetooth stuff because Verizon's service
doesn't work on those cool phones. This would be a good perk, in theory, to
help the balance.
The idea about putting wi-fi access on the NY page is a great one. I'll work
on that. Thanks for the idea, Matt.
BTW: I was on a panel about Wi-Fi at an IT Manager's meeting the other day,
so I have started a Wi-Fi info page. You're all welcome to visit it if you'd
like to learn about wifi. <
http://www.shadovitz.com/wifi>. It's still very
plain and not complete yet, but the stuff listed there is good. And I'd love
more link tips.
