Hello fellow Mac user group Officers and Members,
Our group (Capitol Macintosh, Austin, Texas) is launching a program we
are calling "Tutor A Teacher" to help local schools get the most from
their Macs.
We are especially interested in helping teachers learn how to use
applications like iMovie and integrate Macs in their curriculum in new
and exciting ways.
I am interested in hearing how other Mac user groups provide assistance
in this capacity. Do you have a series of classes, or provide informal
one on one tutoring, or a combination of both? Do you collaborate with
personnel from the school district? We're eager to get started, but
want to be certain that we don't take on more than we can handle, or
overwhelm our pupils with too much information - a very real concern
since most will be only experienced with Mac OS 9, if they have any
experience on a Mac at all.
Thanks in advance for your input!
Glenn Chase
