IN HOUSE FILM FESTIVAL, MACSIMUM PERSPECTIVE, CODETEK STUDIOS,
CAMPUSMOVIEFEST & MAC USER GROUP DAY AT O'REILLY ON THE USER GROUP REPORT
A new Final Cut Pro film festival not just for professionals, a brand new
web site from a long-time user group advocate, one vendor's MUG support
story, new campus group video events, and a day just for MUGs fill out
this edition. Guests include Orlando Luna of the South Florida Final Cut
Pro Users Group, Dennis Sellers of Macsimum Perspective, Bill Goldstein
of CodeTek Studios, David Roemer of Ideas United and Marsee Henon of
O'Reilly.

MACDESIGN CONFERENCE EXTENDS DISCOUNT TO MACINTOSH USER GROUP MEMBERS
Macintosh User Group members who are planning to attend the MacDesign
Conference & Expo in Chicago from June 2-4 can receive a $50 discount on
either early or standard registration. Before April 30, the user group
price is $349, after that, it goes up to $449. Both prices reflect the
discount that can be obtained by using the special user group priority code.

TARHEEL MAC USERS GROUP HOSTING MiLIFE: CAROLINA, AN iLIFE '04 EVENT
Yet another campus group is hosting a digital media event. The TarHeel
Mac Users Group at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill is
currently in the process of hosting their digital media competition,
appropriately called MiLife: Carolina. While other such events have
focused on only one application, this event includes all of the iLife '04
apps.

WESTERN UNIVERSITY MACINTOSH USER GROUP iMOVIEFEST WINNERS NOW ONLINE
The Washington University Macintosh Users Group recently held this year's
iMovieFest, and the top selections are now posted online for everyone to
enjoy. The first place entry was titled "Reflection," while "Amad Daius"
and "Homesick Alien" tied for second. A total of seven iMovies from the
contest are available.
