Our club here in the province of Quibec is also populated by us older folk.
Why? Simple.
We did not have computers when we went to school and we had to teach
ourselves. People then had two choices:
Buy a system you could learn to use on your own (Macintosh) or be a
secretary and use a PC. We are not secrataries. We are basically self-taught
professionals and we have been a User group since about 1988, a result of
having to help each other help ourselves. Students have learned to hate
computers since they are part of their curriculum. Why should they come back
for more...
Of course we all have the same recruiting problems.
