At CMUG we send out two lists. One for members and one for anyone who asked
to be on the list. AOL uses something called a white list that lets me send my
information out. First you have to know about the white list and next you have
to get on it before you send (some magical number) email to your list. They
don't tell you that you are on the list but, if you send too many emails out
they can take your account away from you. Some type of Catch 22.
I asked the ISP that houses out domain name and they said if people
complained I wouldn't be able to send multiple emails threw them. I think they are all
afraid of SPAMers.
