OnyX is indeed free, and it is a very impressive bit of software. I used
to recommend that folks download the very similar program Cocktail, which
used to be free but which now costs $12:

But now I recommend that they get OnyX. Both programs will run the cron
jobs for you, and both programs have a number of other handy features
also.
OnyX isn't only for Panther.
OnyX 1.4.1 works with all Macintosh computers running Mac OS X version
10.3.x (Panther).
OnyX 1.3.1 works with Macintoshes running OS X 10.2.x (Jaguar).
