Your group's Ambassador has access to the training modules offered
through Apple Sales Web. While they can't plagiarize the actual Apple
content, they can use it to create their own training modules for your
User Group. I've done this many times in preparation of training
presentations to the group.

Trish,
Several years ago, my group, YoRMUG of Greenville SC, had a highly
knowledgeable young member who was drafted by several "MacGals" to
teach them about their Macs. They met every monday except the one our
group met on, and each pitched in $20, and they got a good lesson on
some subject, and he made a nice wage for his time...Usually $100 to
$200 per week. David moved out of town, and lost that income stream,
but has since moved back, and is now president of YoRMUG. Does his
teaching once per month, at no pay.
Other than that, I don't know of any other such events.

Hello Everyone,
My MUG group (www.tmug.org) is considering holding workshop and/or Mac
classes as a supplement to regular meetings. These would be held in
the
evening or on a Saturday or Sunday in a place yet to be determined.
My question is this: do any of you do this? If so, do you hire
instructors,
have guest instructors, rely on your members to be the instructors,
what?
Also, if you do this, do you know of "canned" teaching materials or
do the
instructors come with class materials in hand?
Thanks for any help,
Trish
