Jim,
I just went thru the same situation. I went to
http://salestraining.apple.com, searched for ".Mac Quickstart" went
thru the training material, took a quiz, missed one question, how I
don't know, and waited a week or two. I received an activation code
from Apple, went to the link they supplied, and entered the activation
code, my group's login, and was back in business. Our free account
expired Oct 1, and we got it back before November got here.

I've read the recent thread about renewal of the free .mac accounts
for MUGs, but my situation is a bit different...
Unfortunately, our MUG's free account has already expired. (It seems
as if we never received an expiration warning notice.)
My question is: can we go through the training to qualify for the free
.mac account and _revive_ the old account with the credit for
completing the training testing? (We'd like to use the old account
name.) If it _can_ be done, how do we arrange this?
Thanks for any help.
Jim
