THE USER GROUP REPORT: APPLEPICKERS FILM FESTIVAL, BACK-TO-SCHOOL CAMPUS
GROUP MEETINGS, CANADIAN MACINTOSH USER GROUPS & MORE
A regional film festival with a special guest presenter and judge, ideas
for fall meetings of campus user groups, the month's MUG -only vendor
deals, and a new, regular feature: user groups from the Canadian
perspective. Guests include Bob McLaughlin of ApplePickers, Evan Chaney
of the Apple Campus Group Advisory Board, and Jim Foster of Macintosh

FIRST USER GROUP SURVEY QUESTION RESULTS IN & NEW QUESTION POSTED
Last week, The MUG Center is kicked off a ongoing survey of user groups
with the new "Question of the Week" series. The first survey question
was: What is your group's dues structure? The answers were informative.
You can review the complete breakdown of results, including the responses
to our "open-ended" questions, on the Dues Structure results page.This
week's question also deals with the business side of running a Macintosh

REGIONAL LIAISON DISPATCH: EVENTS IN THE AMERICAN NORTHWEST
Apple Regional Liaison Chris Kiltz has provided us with her most recent
Dispatch on Macintosh User Group events in the Northwest United States.

USER GROUP VOLUNTEERS WILL HELP PRODUCE eXpo CONFERENCE IN NEW ZEALAND
The inaugural eXpo Conference for Macintosh Computer Users will be held
at the Akoranga campus of the Auckland University of Technology in New
Zealand on October 9, and Macintosh User Group members are among those
helping make the event possible. Mac Senior Net Auckland will provide
volunteers for organization and crowd information.
