What you need is Snapz Pro

Or following the FileMaker suggestion, maybe cheaper will be something
done in HyperCard, can't tell on Mac OS X.... but you have this

I can't answer your direct question about something to record
movements for under $50.00, but I can quickly suggest at least two
other possible ways to make "demo's".
1) Believe it or not, I once used FIleMaker Pro to create a simple
demo of our old BBS system. FileMaker is a database application, of
course, but in this case I used it without any data to speak of. I
simply created a number of different layout pages, each of which were
screen shots of some "page" of our BBS system. FileMaker allows you to
create "buttons" on any layout and one of the things these buttons can
do is call up another layout. These buttons can also be invisible. So,
as long as you had a pretty good idea of how the flow of the
presentation was going to go in terms of movement from one screen shot
to another, you could click your way through and it looked pretty
realistic.
