Hello Friends,
It is a busy time of year for all of us, and I don't want you to miss out on
user group events during Macworld San Francisco, so get out your calendars
and let's mark some dates and times.
First, we have User Group University and this year we have a spectacular
group of speakers for you to learn from. The event will be held on Monday,
January 9th from 1 p.m. until about 7:30 p.m. at the Argent Hotel. Here is
the line-up:
David Pogue
Tiger's Least-Known Features: Dave's Faves
David will join us to talk about little-known Tiger features, his favorite
tips, and he will suggest ways that Apple User Group leaders can use some of
these nifty features, all in his characteristic "Pogue Way."
........
Christopher Breen, Adam Engst, Bob LeVitus
Since You Asked: Your User Group Questions Answered
Your user group questions will be presented to this dynamic trio. Their
responses will surely inspire you and give you suggestions to take back to
your own user group. Their banter is sure to entertain and educate you.
........
Terry White
User Group Websites That Work
You have a website. You need to make it better for your members and visitors
to your site. Terry will offer valuable and time-tested tips for making a
ho-hum site one that eye-catching and easily navigable with a few mouse
clicks. You don't want to miss it, for sure.
........
Guy Kawasaki
The Art of the Start
Do you need a jump start? Refocused energy? Renewed passion? Where to go
from here? The pitfalls to avoid while getting there? Guy, the ultimate
evangelist, will ring your bell, wake you up and get you going. Tailored to
user groups, Guy will educate you a-plenty in his customary good-natured way
with humor thrown in to boot. (Have you ever seen Guy when he is not
smiling?)
........
There will be a short "Seventh Inning Stretch" before Terry starts his
session and a Vendor Reception following Guy's presentation. The speakers
will hang around to sign books.

You've registered, haven't you? Although registration is open until December
23rd, better hurry as there are not many spots left.

Moving on to Tuesday...
After the Keynote, the User Group Lounge will be buzzing with activity. The
Lounge will open daily at 10 a.m. with scheduled speakers beginning at 11
a.m. with the exception of Tuesday: speakers start at 1 p.m. that day to
give you a few minutes to contain your excitement about whatever our
favorite Keynote speaker tells us.
Rather than dashing through the schedule, take a look at:

Please notice that the Lounge schedule is subject to change, so check back
often for the latest updates.
That's it from me for now. Time to get cracking again in the hope that this
will be your best Macworld yet!
Happy Holidays,
Trish
