USER GROUP KICK-OFF EVENT: A VENDOR FAIRE FOR MUGs
Last night's User Group Kick-Off Event helped get the week started for
user group leaders at Macworld Conference and Expo in San Francisco. The
event was quite a bit different than past year's User Group Universities.
While the primary focus of those events was training and education for
user group leaders, the Kick-Off event had a vendor focus, but with a
limited number in attendance. (More)

USER GROUP SURVEY: BEST EVENT QUESTION AND LEADERSHIP POSITIONS ANSWERS
This week's MUG Center Survey question gives you a chance to brag a
little. As we start 2005, we want to know what you were most proud of
about your user group last year: What was the biggest, best, coolest
thing your user group did in 2004? Last week's question focused on the
leadership positions found in user groups. We were surprised to see the
Treasurer position come in as #2, way heead of the traditional Vice
President. Newsletter editors also didn't fare as well as expected, but
Webmasters came in high on the list, pointing to the importance of online
communication.
