Looks like maybe if Apple is going to give us a nearly free System
Upgrade each time they do one, and a free .Mac account, and some free
software every so often, maybe they expect us to do something to earn it!
Sounds like a reasonable deduction to me, Bill!
Be aware, each Ambassador has (in the best of circumstances) almost an
entire year since the last renewal cycle to earn these points prior to
taking the Free .Mac quiz with a passing grade. Of course, that being
if the Ambassador is the same person continuing in that role for the group.
That is why it is so important that as user group leaders you make sure
to pass on all pertinent information to incoming officers, even think of
having a transitioning phase whereby outgoing and incoming leaders work
together for a couple of month to make a smooth and easier exchange of
knowledge where possible.
The Apple User Group Team, Advisory Board and Regional Liaisons, are
always available to answer most any question. But it is contingent on
each group and their set of officer/leaders to share information with
each other to allow a continuous flow of organization to their
respective administrations.
Just my thoughts...

P.S. If you're the group's Ambassador and your user group's free dotmac
soon expires...and you haven't earned those points...let nothing hold
you back! Time to do some learning at ASTO!
