2 - THE USER GROUP REPORT: THE "MAD AS HELL, SWITCHING TO MAC" PC
SECURITY EXPERT, THE ROGUE VALLEY MAC EXPO, USER GROUP BEST PRACTICES
AND A NEW RESOURCE
Recently, a noted computer security expert and columnist surprised
readers and colleagues by announcing he was switching to the Mac. We
find out why and how the move is progressing, get the story on the third

3 - TMC BLOG - APPLE, INTEL AND SOME COMMON SENSE
The declarations of doom surrounding the Apple-Intel news don't hold
water at best, or have an alternate interpretation at worst. Because the
Chicken Littles' fear mongering interpretation of things angers me, I'd
like to offer up these talking points for your consideration. So please,
take a deep breath and be assured the sky is not falling. Let's try to
bring some common sense to the dire pronouncements, one at a time. (more)

4 - GOING TO MACWORLD EXPO BOSTON? LET'S GET TOGETHER!
The MUG Center is organizing an informal get-together for lunch or
dinner in Boston at Macworld Expo (dutch treat unless you're buying or
someone wins the lottery). Nothing fancy, just good times with good
friends, new and old. (more)

What is perhaps more interesting is that two of these guests will appear
via iChat. (more)

6 - PMUG ATTENDS OPENING OF PORTLAND APPLE STORE
An Apple Store opening is your local community is always an exciting

Users Group. (more)

8 - TMC SURVEY: RESOURCE DISC QUESTION AND MEETING WEEK ANSWERS
Many user groups offer their members a resource CD or DVD as a benefit
of being p-art of the group, while others use it as a small revenue
generator. Even though the internet and high speed access has made
accessing shareware easier, there still is a market for this asset. But
how often makes sense? How often does your group issue a new resource CD
or DVD? (more)
