One suggestion I have made SEVERAL times is to use Apple¹s Video Conferencing capability to meet with remote MUG locations. Apple¹s new software would let us have 3 or more locations share one meeting with an Apple expert.

This is an absolutely terrific idea - does that software also support webcasting the presentation so that online MUGs could participate?

As for the raffle, if there were several regional prizes and if participants could sign up via PayPal, StormPay or some other electronic payment service, it could be a great fundraiser for user groups all over North America.
