Most video conferencing software on the Mac uses Quicktime codecs to
interface with cams. Since the codec for the iSight is installed into
Quicktime, it should work. Of course there's no way of really knowing
until it's tried with your particular package.
If the software for your corporate system isn't written for the Mac,
it's unlikely you're going to find a magic solution. While the software
would likely work in Virtual PC, the camera probably won't. VPC is
capable of directly driving USB devices, but not Firewire (as the
iSight is).

Hi Rob,
Hopefully, someone will respond to your question... But let me clarify
that
I want to use the iSight with my Macintosh PowerBook. So, I'm looking
for
software that would enable me to use my PowerBook to connect to
corporate
video conferencing systems like Polycom.
Thanks,

The software that came with our portable Polycom systems is
Windows-based, and I don't know of drivers that allow you to use an
iSight with Windows. Anyone else know of such a thing? If so, I can
run
it up on our PC laptops, and try to get it to work with the Polycom
conferencing software.

Anyone know if it is possible to connect an iSight webcam to a
corporate
video conferencing system? Most corporate video conferencing
systems,
like
Polycom (very common in corporate conference rooms), use a direct
broadband
connection with a distinct IP internet address and are NOT compatible
with
instant messaging based systems like the AOL system that Apple uses.
Are
there any company's that make software that would allow me to use an
iSight
camera for this purpose?
