Hi,
I am hoping you can assist me with a problem, it concerns the free dot
Mac acct that is available to User Group Ambassadors who do their
homework on Apple Sales Web dot Mac sales course.
I did this and have a dot Mac acct for Mac Senior Net Auckland Inc, NZ
I attempted to set up a web site using Homepage, I can do this on the
dot Mac site but, big but, I can't use iDisk to load the pages I have
created in Adobe GoLive.
I drop the folder containing the files including all the images into
the Sites Folder on the iDisk on my desktop, this looks fine, then
when I try to Sync the iDisk to the Apple web site it shows a quick
glimpse of "Checking Items" then shows "Last Sync Failed" (this is at
the bottom of the window)
Even with nothing in the Sites folder it still wont Sync.
I have synced my address book and Safari Bookmarks but it wont do the
iDisk.
Also every time I open the iDisk after the computer has been shut down
it downloads the iDisk contents, if I open a folder in the Software
Folder on the iDisk it downloads everything for that folder. Then next
time I open it it repeats the download if the computer has been shut
down, this is a lot of download traffic.
Art,
From where you are now... Log onto the .Mac account... go to Homepage..
Add new Page... then navigate to the Advanced tab and identify your
page on the iDisk... check it and then publish. Below are two .Mac
sites done this way.
After an update to the page, you will have to come back into this to
edit and re-publish in order to have the .Mac header and any counter
and reply tab retained.
