Bobbie -
MOST of these ads are "legit" (more or less) but the shear cost of
meeting the requirements to get your "FREE" piece of hardware -
(these places also offer Mac mini's, iPods etc...)
To get a "FREE" iBook, you are required to sign up (using a legit,
not a bogus email) that the companies cadre of advertisers can
contact you through (can you say super amounts of SPAM for months and
months and months?).
You also have to entice a certain number of your friends (family etc)
to sign up to this service too [SPAM them] - and you and have them
buy at least 1 product from one of the advertisers [so technically
its NOT free - but it is if YOU don't buy anything].
bottom line - after a period of time, provided you've met all the
criteria - and after the iBook giving away company confirms yours
(and your friends and family) purchases which by the way comes to
about 1/3 - 1/2 the cost of an iBook (remember the base company does
get money from the advertisers, so for them this is a profitable deal)
anyway AFTER you meet the criteria - and they confirm it [3 months of
waiting] you will get the product.
I've read (on other lists I belong to) of real people that I know
getting "free" iPods and Mac mini's this way...
personally -
I don't NEED the extra SPAM striking my email server....so don't come
to me to 'help you' get a "Free iBook".

What do you think of these sites that offer you a free iBook? Is it
real?

It looks like you just have to agree to select 3 things that could
cost you a little bit.
Is there another catch as you move on...??? Bobbie
