Sandy,
I usually choose the HTML versions of the newsletters I subscribe. I
suggest doing a hybrid HTML/text version. A while ago I published
some newsletters using MailDrop. This software allowed me to edit
separately the plain text and the HTML versions of the email, giving
me perfect control on the both parts and combining them into a
multipart message. A smart email client like Apple Mail can switch
between plain text and HTML. And the mail software who cannot read
HTML, will use the plain text alternative.

I am writing to ask ambassadors (and anyone who reads the Bulletin)
for a bit of advice. If you read the Bulletin you know that it
currently goes out in plain text format. What I am wondering is if
people have a preference for html or for plain text? If we went to
html, we'd do our best to keep the illustrations small. What sort
of mailings do you prefer?
Any other thoughts or comments to improve the Bulletin?
thanks much
