A picture, as they say is worth....
I actually despise news stories that talk about some great new
product without actually showing the product shot. Then not only
making the user go to the company's site (www.company.com), but
also having them dig for the actual product page.
I think a nice balance can be struck by offering a choice as many
sites do and let the USER decide how they want their information
instead of a committee deciding for them. Offer both! Let the user
subscribe to the one they want.
