Count me in on the HTML version, for some reason, the plain text files don't
get thru our company firewall. Thanks.

And happily, there's Paste Special in Adobe GoLive so we can copy
from HTML email and paste it into our web pages without the
formatting and font tags. :)
But I'm a fan of well spaced plain text myself, as I'd replied
offline last week.
When done right, with a full link, http://www.company.com, I can
easily click and get the full picture, which I'd seek anyway.
I hate the length of time it takes to load an email in the preview
pane when I don't wish to but either am looking the first time or it
comes up because I have deleted the mail above or below it.
There are 2 different issues: our question was about html or plain
text for a newsletter.
The issue of it in email messages other than a 1-way newsletter is
quite different as there are more issues when a thread happens. (I
detest html for regular email; can't read it, can't follow, can't
help the person seeking my help, can't learn from it. Too hard to
follow indents, colors, fonts... Give me brackets or sidelines and
colors for levels any day!
Offering both is a great idea for a business. In fact, I'd say it is
a mistake not to. But for us, I'll take whatever Sandy decides as I
don't want to not make her do more work.
