interesting Gary -
I was there (on CBSnews.com) earlier and they are using Windows Media Player...so I just went over to http://www.flip4mac.com and downloaded the Windows Media Player drivers for Quicktime (free download); installed them, restarted Safari and voilá! Windows Media playing in a Quicktime movie format in the browser...
(they give you a choice between WM and Real at most sites except MSN and MSNNBC that require Windows Media Player v10 - which M$ has not made for the mac)
otherwise - we're good.

So I'm watching the CBS show about Superbowl commercials and think, whatdathey, I'll vote for the Apple Macintosh 1984 commercial. Now I'm at CBS.com to cast my vote and discover that I cannot view the clip until I install the new RealPlayer in my Macintosh. Quicktime is the premiere video playback technology but CBS prefers some inferior technology. Interesting. Gary E. Kampel
