I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how one might be

Hello, Jim. I hope Michael or someone else comes up with an answer
for you. I've looked into this myself a couple of years ago when I
put together a library of our past newsletters, including scanning
those that predated our use of PDFs. My findings were that there are
some very good tools to provide search functions on your computer,
DEVONthink being about the most impressive I saw at that time. Of
course, that predated Spotlight which does the same thing. I was
_not_ able to find something that would do the same online - at least
not that was within my limited abilities. I imagine there are tools
that could do it in the form of a java script or perl or something
along those lines. It would be a nice feature to add to any UG's web
site.
