AUGD: Using Google Calendars on your group website

Hi All

Following up on my own remarks on encouraging conversation on this list....

You might want to consider creating a Google calendar for your
group. It'll give everyone a quick access point for 'upcoming events'
that unlike published iCal calendars can be edited by multiple
people, and hosted for free.

In what I thought was really nifty idea I managed to integrate it
with Wordpress and the Wordpress iCal plug-in for our group, so all
any of our members have to do is make a post on the website via
Wordpress and include the date and time and voila - I've got an up to
date iCal calendar or Google calendar you can subscribe to, and the
Google calendar even appears on the right margin (although it does
take a couple of hours to update)

If anybody is using Wordpress and is interested, drop me a line and I
can help with the details (and explain the couple of caveats).
