AUGD's Purpose?
A comment.. the AUGD should open up more to MUGS outside the USA! OK, in principle it does. But in practice I feel User Groups outside USA are often ignored. The Mac Users Group Singapore (MUGS) has tried very hard to get involved in a more international arena (see our posting in June about the history of MUGS (http://web.mac.com/ mvallance/iWeb/MUGS/Mac Users Group Singapore.html ) ). Yes we have a 'Regional Liaison rep' but he's in China and we are in Singapore; Asia is massive, even in the networked world. So how about canvassing for more User Groups from outside USA to become involved? Many Mac users from overseas will attend Macworld SF 2007, and the AUGD is a terrific 'forum' for meeting and sharing. Yes, we are all volunteers (we are in Singapore) and I find our self motivation is often fuelled by having fun in what we do. Meeting up with Mac users around the globe, publicising their meetings, Websites, etc. will be beneficial - IMHO. Thanks all for reading this.
