a year or so back I brought a call out spot to the M UG's attention
and it was pretty popular for a while - and a good spot to see those
who were pretty active...

The point is, this all started over noise on this list v. on-topic
posting. We all pretty much agree that what is on-topic is very
subjective, very grey. There seems to be a nod towards this really
isn't the place for tech-how-to's, but, if we just tell people to
"google it" don't we perpetuate the demise of UG's.
But, what I am asking each one of you to do, is when you see a "how
does your user group handle this...." or "Any groups out there
interested in..." or "can someone recommend a source for..."
respond, and respond in great numbers. Don't lurk, be active. It
only take a few minutes, but, you might be the one with the perfect
answer for another group!
Now, this is what a Mac community is about!
One thought, the way this list works it is very easy to reply only
to person not the list. It is a fact we have to live with on this
list. PLEASE, remember to reply-to-all. It could be that COMUG has
a question and GreenvileMUG has an answer, but we would all like to
hear it.
Thanks to all of you participating. we should really reach out to
those not here. Also, there were some ideas brought up through out
the Roll Call, start those with their topics.
