Here's another idea for promotion that may or may not suit what you're doing. Using Google's newly announced Co-op feature, we put together a search engine that will eventually include sites dealing with Apple matters in the Middle East. We're finding we're getting interest for our site from around the region and as a way to potentially drive some visitors to our site (and they are all potentially User Group members), we thought we'd try this.
