This is being silly, IMO. Apple is not discriminating by not using
the postal system of some countries. The system in the US allows
Apple to ship and return individual batteries for pennies and in a
mater of days. Doing the same thing for Malaysians and many other
countries would cost many dollars each way, require importing/
exporting costs and sometimes, months to get through less reliable
postal systems. Because Apple chooses the most economical process for
a locale doesn't make them prejudice, it shows them to be frugal.
The fact that Apple is managing a world wide recall at all is
impressive, in my opinion. The fault wasn't even Apple's, but Sony's,
who haven't even commented. When Dell had the exploding battery
problem I don't remember a world-wide recall.
