Try the hair dryer theraphy (hdt) before opening as closing it is a
real hassle. Without too much static on you, take the battery,
keyboard, ariport and memory units out (which can be done in a mere
30 secs) and try to keep the air flow around 2-3 days, supported by a
hair dryer occasionally. I had a early generation mobile phone
(Motorola 7200, for curious minds) that refused to work after diving
into the sea for a few hours and came back alive after a week on its
own. Research led to the merits of hdt. The crucial part is the hard
disk, which I would not recommend to open unless the water in
question was sea or pool water. Otherwise hdt would give the result
in electronics (anyhow, you cannot do any better if you open it or
even send to Apple). After hdt and standard recovery procedures,
consider baying/ebaying the machine.
Turkish take on it...
