He wrote, "I unchecked it, but it still starts up. Help from Skype was no good. They don’t want you to know how to turn it off from startup."

Can some one with another suggestion reply to this email?

Go to Accounts and delete skype from the open at login window. unchecking it still launches it at login, but no longer hides it at login.
