Thanks to David Stempnakowsk for his link to the Mac-Mgrs list. I will give
them a try.
With regards Allen Emory's suggestion of the Apple OSX server list, I've
been on that list for years. The trouble is me along with more than 20 other
owners of Xserves in Australia, from individuals to business's through to
schools all received the same response as me when asking for help, They were
mainly ignored but when we did get a response it was nothing short of
vicious, insulting and abusive. In all my life I have never come across a
list that gets away with attacking new users like that list. I might still
be subscribed to the list to pick up occasional hint but I would never waste
my time asking for help again. None of the more than 20 other Xserve owners
I've spoken to will ever post to that list again for the same reason.
If Apple ever wish to be taken seriously in the server market they need to
provide proper resources for new users in plain English as well as providing
a friendly and helpful forum/list where these new users can actually get
answers to their problems.
