1 - The MUG Event Calendar for January 1, 2007: Macworld Expo Rumors,
Google and a Type Extravaganza
<http://www.mugcenter.com/the-mug-event-calendar-for-january-1-2007-
macworld-expo-rumors-google-and-a-type-extravaganza/>
The first MUG Event Calendar of 2007 starts off slow as user group
schedules continue to recover from the effect of the holiday season, and
the final countdown to Macworld Expo week begins. That doesn$)A!/t mean that
things are boring, though.
Google will be on the agenda in Connecticut, a Macworld rumor roundup
will take place on Cape Cod, digital photography will be shown off by
experts in New Mexico and an extra special triple-threat presentation on
Type will take place in Oregon.
2 - The MUG Center Launches New Design
<<http://www.mugcenter.com/the-mug-center-launches-new-design/>
Just in time for the new year, The MUG Center, $)A!0The Mac User Group
Resource Site,$)A!1 launches a brand new redesign.
For the second time in our history, we$)A!/ve implemented a new web site
design to expand and improve service to our readers and to the Mac User
Group community. Our new site will allow more interaction with The MUG
Center and with each other through commenting options for registered
users, new RSS feeds, better archiving and search of our content than
ever before, and much more.
Our most used and most important resources have been updated for your
reference, with much more to come. What about our 5+ years of content
that you know and love? Fear not! Very shortly we$)A!/ll have that content
back online as legacy material so none of the history of the Mac User
Group community and our coverage is lost.
3 - Terry White Discusses The Adobe User Group Breakfast at Macworld
Expo on MacVoices
<http://www.mugcenter.com/terry-white-discusses-the-adobe-user-group-
breakfast-at-macworld-expo-on-macvoices/>
The Adobe User Group & Professional Association Breakfast will be the
highlight of a busy calendar of Mac User Group events during Mac Expo
week. Adobe$)A!/s Terry White joins MacVoices on $)A!0The Road to Macworld
2007$)A!e to discuss the sold-out event, and the presentations that
attendees will be enjoying. That includes Terry showing off not only the
newest version of Adobe Photoshop, but also delivering his usual highly
confidential surprises. Dave Helmly will demonstrate off something
associated with video, and the new Flex Builder will be demonstrated by
Ted Patrick.
Adobe has also partnered with a shareware developer to have the raffle
at the end of the Breakfast act as the world premier of a new program
that will be useful for not just Mac User Groups, but community groups
of all kinds. Terry introduces TicketDrum and talks about his part in
its development.
4 - MUGport$)A!/s January Meeting Features Three International Typography Experts
<http://www.mugcenter.com/mugports-january-meeting-features-three-
international-typography-experts/>
