The title of an Oregon Mac User Group's meeting says it all: "What else...
iPhone!" Even with the post-release enthusiasm, there are still plenty
other topics and visitors on the schedule at Mac User Groups around the
globe for the coming week.
Francis Shepherd of Apple will be in North Carolina to present the
iPhone and Leopard, User Group activist Nicholas Pyers will present the
iPhone to an Australian group, Andrew Stone of Stone Design will visit
two different groups in Illinois and Freeverse Software will show off
their product line to a group in New York. (more)
2 - Take Your Group to 2.0: Effective Raffle Rules
<http://www.mugcenter.com/take-your-group-to-20-effective-raffle-rules/>
Raffles are a long-standing tradition in the Macintosh User Group
community, usually to the benefit of the members, but occasionally to
the detriment of the group. At the very least many groups could get more
out of their raffles by implementing a few simple procedures and
guidelines. 2.0 user groups re-examine every aspect of their operations,
determined to get more out of everything and that includes raffles. (more)
