REMEMBER THE MAINE! The Hearst organization used this to sway American public opinion to start the Spanish American War.
I have been noticing an interesting trend on TV, of late. Curiously, its only on NBC stations. My local WPTV, MS-NBC and CNBC.
Maybe I'm wrong, but has anyone else noticed that if there is any bad news for Apple they seem to be first to report it ... and repeat it? Also, if there is anything good from Redmond they seem to repeat it a few times as different news stories?
They did show the iPhone, but tagged it as a two to three thousand dollar purchase ... with a battery that will go dead in a year ... with slow activation from AT&T ... and, of course, sales were abysmally off the projection. Interesting that the facts didn't seem to get in the way of a good story.
Last month, Bill Gates made the rounds showing off 'SURFACE the future of computing.' And they're repeating that again, tonight (check your local NBC TV stations).
We know that the MS in MS-NBC doesn't stand for Mississippi, but I think the corporate supported slant is a bit over reaching.
Just because Disney owns ABC doesn't mean that they show more problems with VISTA to please one of their biggest stockholders.
They say those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it. I guess I just get tired of business politics masquerading as news.
I am distressed that computer news would be printed on yellow paper.
