So here we are a week away from the iPhone. I was curious how many
groups
out there are planning iPhone meetings this summer?
Not 'til we have a member who has one who is willing to show/talk
about it. We asked, so far nobody has indicated an intent to get one.
I've got a friend with three iPhones heading over from the States on
the 30th... Should have an hour to play with them that afternoon,
before they head off to their real destination. It would be good to
have one for a demo at a meeting, but we may have to make to with
first hand experience and photos. I'm hoping the "buy online" option
will allow international buyers to get an iPhone before 2009 or when
ever it gets released here.
I think the iPhone, and other Apple moves are another wonderful
opportunity for users groups to embrace a new set of Apple users -
whether they be people using Safari on windows, iTunes, tv, iPhone
or an iPod.. they are all Apple users, no matter what OS they have
running in behind the Apple software and hardware..
