their seventh anniversary with presentations by Apple's director of Pro
Video Product Management, Richard Townhill, FCP Product Designer, Brian

2 - Final Cut Pro User Group SuperMeet at NAB Now Available As Podcast
<http://www.mugcenter.com/final-cut-pro-user-group-supermeet-at-nab-now-
available-as-podcast/>

held at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas as part of the NAB show this
past April, 2007 is now available online as a video podcast. (more)
3 - Mac Users Can Help Save Net Radio
<http://www.mugcenter.com/mac-users-can-help-save-net-radio/>
With the success of the iPod, the iTunes Store, GarageBand and more, it
is clear that Mac users are enthusiastic about music. We are also huge
fans of the online music streaming/discovery service Pandora, and with
the iPhone's full browser support, we can envision Pandora becoming even
more popular among mobile users very shortly.
That's why we want to make you aware of legislation, and how you can
help defeat it, that has the potential to shut down Pandora as well as a
significant portion of internet radio like those found under the "Radio"
entry in your iTunes Library, the internet streams of your favorite
terrestrial radio stations and more. (more)
4 - Apple Announces New Regional Liaison Team Members for Pro Groups,
Canada and South Central U.S.

5 - Take Your Group to 2.0: Once A Month Just Isn't Enough
<http://www.mugcenter.com/take-your-group-to-20-once-a-month-just-isnt-
enough/>
Your Mac User Group's newsletter is, most likely, something of a sacred
tradition. Many groups see their newsletter as the single biggest
benefit they deliver, and the primary way they communicate both Mac and
group news to their members. In a world moving at the speed of the
Internet, a monthly newsletter is fine for some types of information,
but in most cases, once a month just isn't enough. (more)
6 - Guy Kawasaki Gives Mac User Groups a High Five
<http://www.mugcenter.com/guy-kawasaki-gives-mac-user-groups-a-high-five/>
In an article from the June issue of Entrepreneur magazine, Guy Kawasaki
gives Mac User Groups a "high five" in relation to Apple's current level
of success.
"I got my first taste of user groups when I worked for Apple. Speaking
at user group meetings was one of my great pleasures. Their members were
unpaid, raging, thunderlizard evangelists for Apple and sustained the
company by supporting its customers when Apple couldn't-or didn't want
to-support them itself."
"Now that Apple is the homecoming queen again, there are lots of people
claiming credit for its success. The Apple user-group community deserves
a high-five, too." (more)
7 - Peachpit Kicks Off New Online Video With Special User Group Offer
<http://www.mugcenter.com/peachpit-kicks-off-new-online-video-with-
special-user-group-offer/>
