Thanks, Jean - I bought it. Its external so we can use it on another computer. Its USB 2.0 or Firewire. Its Cheap... about $35 after rebate.

Ordinarily I prefer newegg but this time the product & price are right
at Tiger.
Yes, you'd have to yank the new drive out of the G4 to do this, but if
you kept it in the enclosure, you wouldn't have to re-install it in the
G4, and it would be portable for use on any other OSX Mac.
