This week's MUG Event calendar features visits by two vendors, one
double-header meeting, one triple-header meeting and a whole lot of
interesting topics.
Doug Troxell of Intriguing Development is one the MUG trail in Florida,
showing off iRemember to three different groups along the way. Mark/
Space will visit a California group to show off their Missing Sync

2 - Creating Ringtones: Answering A User Group University Question

university-question/> As part of his User Group University keynote
presentation, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak discussed the challenges of
creating ringtones for his cell phone. Eddy Nivens of the Charlotte
Apple Computer Club provided some information during the discussion, and
has generously provided us with a tutorial on the subject.
Need a topic for your next meeting? Teach your members how to stop
paying those exorbitant ringtone fees and convert their favorite tracks
for use on their cell phones by downloading the package of screenshots
and the instructions. If you do, be sure to credit Eddy and his work. (more)
3 - Rex Covington Appointed to Apple User Group Advisory Board

The March edition of the Apple User Group Bulletin includes the
announcement of a new appointment to the Apple User Group Advisory Board
(UGAB).
Rex Covington of the Houston Area Apple Users Group (HAAUG) will join
UGAB in an expansion position, bringing the total number of active seats

4 - Leadership Library Updated with User Group University 2007 Presentations

The MUG Center's Leadership Library has been updated with links to the
presentations from the eighth User Group University, held in conjunction
with Macworld Expo 2007.
The half-day event featured sessions that both entertained and informed

5 - European Mac User Group Photo Contest Winners Announced

At a special meeting of the London Macintosh Users Group at the Regent
Street Apple Store, the winners of the Mac Users UK Photo Contest were
announced.
Mac User Group members from the United Kingdom and Ireland were invited
to submit photos in four categories: The Body, Your Environment, The
City and Work. Over eighty entries were received from twenty-one
different groups in the region as well as groups in Poland, Belgium and
the United States.
