Halloween week features all treats and no tricks on The MUG Event Calendar.
MacNotable Andy Ihnatko of the Chicago Sun-Times will virtual visit a
group in Ohio, Apple Senior Systems Engineer Dave Marra is back on the
road in Pennsylvania and James Lee of Tropical Software will make the
first in a series of appearances in Florida. "Mac Man" Garry Barker will
speak to an Australian Group and Philip Hodgetts will address an FCP
group in California.
The MUG Center's first User Groups 2.0 Virtual Conference will be held
this week, providing a much-needed forum for user group leadership
issues, advice and discussion. James Lee of Tropical Software will be
the keynote speaker, providing some well-researched suggestions on
vendor relations. (more)

Another new Mac User Group has appeared, and after five months of
meetings have been accepted as an Apple-recognied MUG. The Thumb
Macintosh Users Group (TMUG Michigan) of Pigon, Michigan serves Mac
users in Huron, Tuscola and Sanilac Counties. (more)
