Naples MUG uses Adobe In-Design to produce our periodic newsletter. You can pull down the most recent issue (pdf) by clicking here if you are interested in our Why we Love our Mac Valentine's day issue. We are VERY new to using In-Design and only know fundamentals. We do NOT print, we distribute via our web site.
One problem we have is that the Links to urls, email addresses, etc in the PDF document produced by In-Design, when viewed in Apple's Preview are NOT hot. A great newsletter but not quite there in terms of action links.
Gary Kampel has shown me how to use Acrobat Professional on the pdf document to activate these links. That, however, adds an extra step to the production process.
Hence my questions to those with In-Design experience: 1) Can In-Design produce a pdf document whereby the links are active? Hints and Tips on the process will be appreciated. 2) Can In-Design produce "Jump to Page x" links in the pdf document so members can click on the Table of Contents and get to locations in the document? Hints and Tips will be appreciated. Comment, Thanks to Gary I can do both using Acrobat Professional
3) Does In-Design have the ability to produce an Index of Terms that we can put into a searchable file so our members can easily get to articles of interest over different issues.
Thanks in advance for any assistance |
