First, thanks to Jim Jackson for this resource - when can we expect
Numbers and Keynote? (just kidding, but, you are very inspiring ) The
Triangle Macintosh Users Group has it posted
http://www.tmug.org/index.php/Pages#Exploring_Pages
but not without a little bump. In case anyone experienced similar...
The file from the .mac public folder had permissions of -rwx------
which meant only the file owner can read (write and execute, but it is
a pdf, no one should really care about writing to it or running it). I
discovered this issue when I uploaded (via sftp) to TMUG's server (Mac
10.4 server). With that set of permissions, no one could get the file
from our website via browser.
the fix was to change permissions of the file so that "other" had read
access -rwx---r-- (from terminal chmod o+r filename - Get Info let's
you make the change via point and click -or- grab the file off our
site, permissions are set as above. Looks like Chuck Joiner's site has
a different set of permissions as well, but also a larger file. Was
there a change? ).
I just thought I would throw out the heads up.
